Description

Bird Gliding: A Beginner's Guide

So you've got a bird, a bunch of pipes or gaps standing between you and glory, and a single button that does everything. That's the whole pitch here, and honestly, that simplicity is what makes it so brutal. Your thumb (or mouse finger, whatever) controls every flap, and gravity is working against you the entire time. Most people die on their first run because they tap way too hard and rocket straight into the ceiling. Give it a minute before you start blaming the game.

Controller & Keyboard Guide

  • Tap anywhere on the screen to make the bird flap upward, that's genuinely the only input you need.
  • Let go and gravity pulls the bird back down, there's no separate button for descending.
  • On desktop, a mouse click usually does the exact same job as a screen tap.
  • There's no directional steering left or right, your bird moves forward on its own.
  • Timing matters way more than speed, mashing the tap button rapidly usually backfires.

Top Tips

  • Small, rhythmic taps beat one big panicked flap every single time, treat it like a heartbeat, not a sprint.
  • Watch the gap, not the bird. Your eyes naturally want to track the character, but the obstacle is what actually matters.
  • Try to stay near the middle of each gap rather than hugging the top or bottom edge, it gives you more room to correct mistakes.
  • Different landscapes can shift your sense of scale a little, so don't assume the exact same tap pattern works everywhere.
  • If you feel yourself tensing up after a few deaths, take a short breather. Frustration makes people tap harder, and harder isn't better here.
  • Play a few rounds without worrying about your score at all, just to get a feel for how much lift each tap gives you.
